JESUS' BAR MITZVAH. In the Jewish religion, when a Jewish boy turns 13 years old, he becomes an adult. This is called Bar Mitzvah.

In the Jewish religion, when a Jewish boy turns 13 years old, he becomes an adult. This is called Bar Mitzvah, and as part of a Bar Mitzvah  ceremony the boy is called to read the Torah during service.  When Jesus was 12 years old, his parents took him to the Temple in Jerusalem and he read the Torah during service for his Bar Mitzvah ceremony.
